Stockholm Pride has come and gone and what an absolute ride it’s been. Both Jafar The Witch and Jafar The Grandma got out of their houses to join in on the festivites.  The Witch laid some tarot in a cozy little booth at a roof-top event, and Jafar The Grandma blessed the queer SWANA party Not Your Habibi for a stand-up set. Bisouuu, until next year!

Jafar The Popstar did her first ever live-gig at Nonagon Experimental Music Festival. Joined by the world-famous DJ Mirp, the festival goers got a sneak-peak of her upcoming debut album “sissifications” set to release later this year. Keep your eyes and ears peeled everybody!

Jafar the Globetrotter is going away on residencies in 2023 to hone her ability to make people squirt of laughter. First she’ll be going to Film <3 Musik in Bengtfors, Sweden with dream-pop artist Aasma to finish her album, then to UngaKlara in Stockholm to write her debut play, and after that she’s going to Köttinspektionen in Uppsala together with choreographer Sepideh Khodarahmi to explore the movements and non-movements of passivity and submissiveness in the upcoming interactive piece ‘’Pillow Princess Pilates.’’ Better bring your umberellas, cause once she’s back, you’re sure to get wet.

On International Women’s Day 8th of March (and if you didn’t know that you’re a misogynist male chauvinist himbo, ughhh) Baba Jaan and Jafar The Superstar are doing stand up... for women, at StreetGäris 10th anniversary! Come and laugh, and if you think they bomb- well you’re a racist too aren’t ya lovie?

Look out Finland, look out England! The Iranians are coming with dance, music, cake and revolution! Don’t miss out on the fun in January and February of 2023 in Helsinki, London and Uppsala. Can you keep up?

On the 17th of December, Jafar The Superstar comes to Gothenburg to grace the stage at Skeppet with her witty old crass humor! The event hosts a bunch of fun activities such as clothes-swapping, tattoo-artists, beer-tasing and much much more. Don’t miss out! Event can be found here.

On the 1st of April, Jafar The Retired Superstar makes her debut at renowned drag-club ‘’Tuck o Hej’’ hosted by Ceviche de Choco and Brenda Mandlar. Come watch granny shake her milkers, whip her feather boa and win a new husband at this glorious evening filled with funny, sexy and fierce drag performances.

On the 4th of March, Jafar The Retired Superstar will be coming all the way from Tehranangeles to perform in a durational and improvisational collective performance along with 15 other great artist at MDT. Honored to be part of such a fun project! Created by Every Ocean Hughes in collaboration with Moderna Museet. 

Things got competitive at Folk i Skärholmen when Jafar The Reindeer and Baba Claus hosted an end of the year quiz at the Christmas party. The winner got a big bad lump of coal. Stay naughty! :*
